Brief Company History

Ashton Sound was founded in 1974 in Kent, Ohio.  The mission of the company was to design, install and service sound and intercom systems for churches, schools and industry.  With rapid growth, in 1975, the company became an Ohio Corporation. In 1976, Ashton Sound was awared the contract to provide paging and intercom systems for the Wickes Corporation nationiwide.  Under this relationship we provided system equipment to stores in 30 states and the installation by our personnel, to stores in 14 states. This contract lasted for over fifteen years.

In the 1980's, our aggressive sales efforts expanded our local marketing area to 24 Northeastern Ohio counties.  Our products and services include souud systems, video systems, fire alarm , syncronzed clock systems, CCTV, MATV, security, access control, and data systems, making us an all inclusive low voltage class 2 contractor. 

Over the past 44 years designed, installed and serviced products for customer such as K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Kent State Uninversity, Parker-Hannifin Corp., Eaton Corporation, Portage County, Marriott Corporation, Kinetico Corporation, UH Robinson Memorial Hospital, Medina County Libaray System, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Davey Tree Corporation, Western Reserve Academy, Warren City Schools, Medina County, Summit County, Various Municipalities, Over 20 school districts, numerous privates companies, nursing homes, churches and many other customers and projects.

Today, Ashton Sound employees 10 full time personnel with six service/installation vehicles providing 24 hour, seven day per week to our customers from our central Ravenna Location. 

Our corporate goal continues to be the highest quality engineering, installation and service with the latest technological products.
